Enhancing Farm Security: Animal Intrusion Detection using YOLO

Intrusion by farm animals poses a serious threat to the economic stability of farmers, causing unsustainable losses. Agriculture, being the cornerstone of the Indian economy, has faced growing challenges in recent years due to the neglect of issues related to wild animals damaging crops. Many farmers find themselves compelled to hire guards to safeguard their crops, leading to increased overhead costs. The agricultural sector is already burdened with a staggering amount of debt. Give n this scenario, farmers are unable to foresee additional crop destruction and are financially strained to bear the escalating costs of fanning. Consequently, there arises a need for a machine learning- based monitoring system designed to identify instances of farm animal encroachment and promptly alert the farmers. Such a system proves particularly valuable when farmers are engaged in other tasks and lack a reliable irrigation system.
