Thermal Analysis of Air-Cooled Motor for UAV Using Numerical and Experimental Methods

This paper deals with the thermal analysis of air-cooled motor for UAV using numerical and experimental methods considering the structures in which the motor is attached to the UAV. The structures are classified into several cases, and then numerical and experimental analyses are performed for each case. In the numerical analysis process, the analysis results are compared for each case, and then the suitable structure that satisfies the motor stability is discussed. In the experimental analysis process, the analysis results are compared with numerical analysis results in order to confirm the validity of the numerical analysis.
