Research on the Market Guarantee Mechanism for Yunnan Power Grid Abundance under the New Power System

In the context of the construction of a new type of power system, the high proportion of clean energy integration poses a serious challenge to the reliable operation of the power system. This article studies the adequacy of Yunnan power grid from the perspective of market mechanisms. Firstly, the basic construction situation of the power market in Yunnan Province was analyzed, and the key issues and particularities of designing a new type of power system market mechanism were proposed based on the actual situation in Yunnan. Propose a new power system market framework design and market connection mechanism with the participation of multiple entities, and sort out the market transaction process of multiple entities. The necessity of establishing a sufficient market guarantee mechanism for power generation in Yunnan was analyzed, and two types of sufficient market guarantee mechanisms, scarcity pricing mechanism and capacity compensation mechanism, were proposed. Finally, based on the characteristics of these two mechanisms, suggestions were proposed for Yunnan power grid to adopt capacity compensation mechanism in the initial stage.
