Laboratory Stand for Studying the Automated Air Temperature Monitoring System Using IoT Technologies

Temperature monitoring in premises is one of the most frequent and typical tasks in industry, household, commercial and office premises. In classrooms and laboratories, the temperature significantly affects the quality and efficiency of the educational process, and must also comply with sanitary standards. Therefore, the organization of automated temperature measurement, online monitoring based on Internet of Things technology is an urgent task, of scientific interest and practical importance. A laboratory stand has been developed for the study and research of an automated online indoor air temperature monitoring system based on LoRaWAN wireless communication and a virtual tool that allows you to study temperature fluctuations throughout the day and optimize the efficiency of the use of air heating and cooling systems in educational premises. The use of this laboratory stand in the educational process contributes to the formation of students’ practical skills and the ability to configure an IoT-based system for real-time monitoring of the air temperature in the classroom, display the received data on the website in numerical and graphical form. In the future, improvements are planned at both the hardware and software levels, in particular, the setting of a message to the cross-platform manager channel about changes in settings and temperature exceeding the set limits.
