The Influence of The Hall Effect on the Performance of Electronic Accelerator Pedals

The Hall effect is one of the physical phenomena that impacts the operation of electronic accelerator pedals (EAPs) significantly. EAPs employ Hall Effect sensors for signal transmission, thereby enabling precise pedal position detection. This paper presents an overview study of the influence of the Hall effect on the performance of electronic accelerator pedals, including the core idea – creation of Android Automotive OS (AAOS) application, which allows the driver to change the sensitivity of the pedal while in the car. This approach can be a valuable solution for controlling engine response and behavior depending on operating conditions.
