Simulation the Servo Motor of Computer Numerical Control Machine Tool Based on ATLAB/Simulink

In the modern automated industry, computer numerical control (CNC) cutting machines play an important role. Like this, in the CNC machine parts, the servo motor feed system is the most influential part of the machine performance. So, various control techniques are used to improve the machine accuracy. Conventional PID control could not get the desired parameter values. In this paper, dynamic model for the servo feed drive of the CNC system is developed and simulation is done in MATLAB/Simulink. Then the feedback times of the Fuzzy PID and PID controllers are compared to achieve the best output value for the performance of the CNC machine. The experiment results proved that our fuzzy-PID controller is more effective and robust. These facts are the main significant for the performance of CNC machines.
