Child Protect: Mobile Application Harnessing the A* Search Algorithm for Child Protect Awareness

The "Child Protect" mobile application was developed to champion the cause of child protection in some critical areas of Metro Manila, Philippines. This innovative app serves as a vital instrument for the dissemination of crucial information, policies, and laws that pertain to child abuse, child labor, trafficking, the safeguarding of children with disabilities, indigenous children, street children, and those entangled in legal conflicts. Using the A* search algorithms, government agencies and private organizations can easily be located and accessed via the application. This feature provides invaluable recommendations for assisting in matters related to children’s protection, addressing queries, and resolving concerns. Deployed on Android mobile phones, the application underwent a comprehensive evaluation involving children of varying ages, parents, and other stakeholders. The results of this evaluation affirm the application’s functionality, reliability, usability, and efficiency. In conclusion, the "Child Protect" mobile application is pivotal in elevating awareness regarding children’s protection rights.
