Study of Reactivity of Moringa Oleifera Seed as Biocoagulant for Removal of Hexavalent Chromium

The objective of our study is the removal of hexavalent chromium present in a surface treatment discharge of the factory SOMATEL in Constantine, by a physico-chemical process; coagulation-flocculation, using a new biodegradable organic coagulant: Moringa Aleofeira Seeds (MOS). The MOS have a significant effect on the removal efficiency of chromium (VI). The settling time improves the coagulation flocculation process. The MOS used reduce the concentration of chromium (VI) in the discharge from 60 mg/l to 16.96 mg/l, with a yield of 67.93% after settling time of 1h30 minutes, at pH 2 with
$\theta,3g$
of MOS. Thus the results obtained show the performance of Moringa Oleifera seeds as a coagulant to reduce the rate of Cr (VI) in the industrial release considered
