Realization of Voltage Doubler-based Tri-band Rectifier for Energy Harvesting Applications

This work presents the realization of a tri-band rectifier operating at practical frequency bands of 915 MHz, 1.8 GHz, and 2.4 GHz. It is imperative to note that the designed rectifier is based on an improved single-voltage doubler branch topology. This essentially makes the developed rectifier low-cost and easy to implement in various wireless energy transfer and energy harvesting applications. In addition, the realized rectifier was validated through experimental measurements, which showed that the power conversion efficiency ranges from 30% to 60% at three selected operating frequencies.
