Design of Millimeter Wave Array-Based Antenna for WBAN Applications

This work presents a compact and high-performance array antenna operating at millimeter wave bands. The array was constructed using the circular patch-based single antenna. Furthermore, it should be noted that the etched slots around the circumference were added to increase the achievable bandwidth. In particular, 7.16% bandwidth at the central frequency of 32 GHz was obtained. Finally, the developed array antenna showed an 11.3 dBi peak gain making it practical for numerous applications, including wireless body area networks.
