Design and implementation of a solar-mounted e-rickshaw with an integrated converter

The problem of last mile connectivity in Indian transportation ecosystem has been tackled by e-rickshaw. The fundamental challenge in e-rickshaw is the proper maintenance of battery. In this context an integrated dual dc boost converter (IDDBC) has been proposed consisting of multiple inputs and a single output port delivered to a BLDC motor for power delivery to the e-rickshaw. The sole advantage of this system is that a secondary renewable source (preferebly solar) can be integrated in a single converter system with a battery unit to deliver power to the BLDC motor.
