Synchronized Music Streaming Driven by Microservice Architecture

The paper proposes a scalable music streaming service aimed at streaming synchronization. Its design is based on a microservice architecture. The proposed approach uses WebSockets for synchronization, Docker for containerizing microservices, and Kubernetes for container orchestration. The performance characterization of the proposed approach is compared with a monolithic architecture. The experiments show the advantage of the microservice-driven system in horizontal scaling, as it allows to maintain a low response time.
