Chemical Deposition and Characterization of CdS/ZnS Heterostructures for Optoelectronic Applications

This study investigates the synthesis and characterization of CdS/ZnS heterostructures fabricated via chemical deposition techniques. Utilizing various analytical methods, including SEM, EDX, and XRD, we provide comprehensive insights into the material’s morphological, compositional, structural, and phase properties. The heterostructure exhibits an enhanced exciton-phonon coupling, as evidenced by Raman spectroscopy. Our results affirm the effectiveness of chemical methods in achieving high-quality CdS/ZnS heterostructures, which hold potential for applications in various optoelectronic devices. The study underscores the prospect of scalable, cost-effective production of high-performance semiconductor films.
