Enhancing Sum Throughput in Wireless Powered IoT Networks using TDMA-Based Resource Allocation

This paper focuses on investigating the optimal allocation of resources for the downlink energy transfer and uplink information transmission of wireless powered IoT (WPIOT) networks. This study adopts time division multiple access (TDMA) technology and explores some key aspects: channel assignment, power and time allocation. For channel assignment, we propose a methodology that utilizes channel gain information to assign channels to users. Furthermore, we propose Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) for the optimization of power and time allocation. The objective of the paper is to maximize the network throughput by jointly optimizing channel assignment, power allocation and time resources. Through simulations, the findings demonstrate the precision and feasibility of the proposed scheme for maximization of sum throughput. The results highlight the significance of comprehensive resource allocation strategies for wireless powered IoT networks.
