Survey of Multicast Routing Protocols in VANET

In this article multicast routing protocols in VANETs (Vehicular ad hoc NETworks) are classified and their comparative analysis is given. Multicast routing protocols enable the simultaneous delivery of packets from one source to multiple destinations. Based on the analysis of multicast protocols, it is concluded that when choosing the optimal one, careful consideration of the network’s conditions, the requirements it needs to fulfill, the number of nodes in the network, and the network’s environment is necessary.
