IoT-Powered Flood Warning and Alert System: Innovations in Flood Detection and Notification

Programmed flood cautioning and a ready framework utilizing IOT, is a dynamic project that runs around NODEMCU ESP8266 and IOT. These days the climate circumstances of India are unusual and as a result of this flood occurs. The other reason for floods is the melting of snow and ice. The geographical nature of a place also leads o flood. The low areas near rivers and lakes are prone to flood. Due to floods, countless people have lost their lives and homes. To predict flood various factors such as dampness, temperature, the level of water in nearby rivers or dams, and flow rate of water are measured. In this proposed model, the level of water in a river is observed and compared with the data already collected. A controller is used to process the data given by the sensor and the data is transmitted to a microcontroller. The transmitted data is interpreted and signals are given through a buzzer and LED lights. The IoT analytics platform ThingSpeak is used in the proposed plan to visualize and analyze live data and also to send alerts.
