Semi-Automatic Bio-Degradable Cup Making Machine using Coconut Leaflets

Plastic products were elevated considerably in recent years. This is due to the fact that the plastics are less difficult and less expensive to manufacture whilst as compared to other products. Many Plastic merchandise is dangerous to living beings as well as natural resources. The global plastic marketplace became valued at 580 billion U.S. Greenbacks in 2020 and is anticipated to enjoy giant boom over the next decade. Hence, it's important to avoid plastic and introduce a better replacement for it in human life. It is proposed to design and broaden biodegradable plates and cups using dry coconut leaves. First coconut leaves are soaked in water for about 2 hours and then dried to make it into powdery form. Next, required amount of wheat flour and water repellent are added to the powdery form coconut leaflets. Then moulded into required form with the aid of excessive temperature with genuinely pressed by using pneumatic system. The moulder is made of pneumatic actuator, pneumatic switches and heater. The moulder is completely controlled by PLC. The cup is moulded under the temperature of 100 to 150°C and pressure of 1 to 5 psi. Subsequently, the product is dried for few days to check its stability. This product is bio-degradable, increases the sustainable energy as it was made for wastage leaflets, and it is also a bio fertilizer for farming lands.
