Frequency Calibration System for wBMS

A wireless battery monitoring system (wBMS) eliminates the need for physical wiring by wirelessly transmitting battery module data to a central system. It optimizes battery performance, prevents overcharging, and enables real-time monitoring. However, challenges such as interference and temperature variations can affect the system. To overcome these challenges, synchronization is crucial for accurate communication, while monitoring environmental temperature ensures reliable data analysis. Combining frequency calibration, synchronization, and temperature monitoring is essential for a reliable wBMS. This project aimed to design and analyze a tailored frequency calibration module for wBMS, involving hardware and software integration. The implemented frequency calibration system achieved a calibration accuracy of 99.95% for centre frequencies of different channels with an execution time of 9.25ms. It effectively mitigates the effects of environmental changes, making it a valuable solution for maintaining stable wireless systems.
