Performance Analysis of RSMA-Based Multi-User MISO System

In this study, we investigate how well a multi-user MISO system performs utilizing the RSMA technique in terms of throughput, energy efficiency, and outage probability. We also investigate how changing the number of antennas affects all three parameters in a Rayleigh fading channel. We derive the relationship between outage probability and transmit power as an analytical expression for analysis. We then perform the Monte Carlo simulation to verify our derived analytical expression of outage probability. The system's throughput is computed analytically and observed as the function of transmit power for a varying number of antennas. We compute the energy efficiency of the system by varying power consumption for a different number of transmit antennas iteratively. Further, based on the above observations we conclude the consequence of the number of antennas on the performance metrics. We extend our study to comment on the usefulness of the choice of the range of power allocation coefficient of the common stream by observing the corresponding plot.
