Design and Application of Airborne P-Static Discharge Parameter Measurement System

P-Static discharge interference protection verification testing plays a critical role in the airworthiness certification flight tests for civil aircraft. However, the testing phase faces challenges due to the lack of reliable measurement methods for static discharge parameters, which impairs the accurate determination of whether the aircraft is in a static discharge environment, consequently impacting the evaluation of the test results. To tackle this issue, a specialized Airborne P-Static discharge parameter measurement system was designed based on the characteristics of aircraft static discharge. The experimentation revealed that each discharge of the static discharger comprises a pulse train consisting of six pulses with varying amplitudes, lasting approximately 290ns. The time intervals between adjacent pulses are consistent. The pulse amplitudes gradually decay, with no discernible pattern or rule for the decay rate. Additionally, the experiment also identified variations in the duration of the pulse data in the radiation field across different locations. The spectrum data analysis indicated that the radiation energy primarily concentrates below 200MHz, with stable peaks observed at multiple frequency points. The maximum peak amplitude recorded is 50dBm. The study results demonstrate the effectiveness of the Airborne P-Static discharge parameter measurement system. This system facilitates the measurement of key parameters during the electrostatic discharge process, thus providing crucial experimental data for a comprehensive investigation of electrostatic discharge phenomena and their associated interference effects.
