Abstract:

Network coding is a promising method for boosting wireless networks' performance and security. It is an effective coding method that lowers bandwidth and latency, boosts resilience, and uses less energy. The improvement of network coding for better performance and security in wireless networks is the main topic of this article. To increase the volume of data that may be delivered across wireless networks, a novel network coding approach is developed. With the suggested enhanced network coding, the network speed, latency, and security are all increased. Additionally, simulations are run to confirm the outcomes of the suggested strategy. The findings show that the suggested method considerably improves the upper and lower bounds for the network coding problem, leading to improved wireless network security and performance. These results suggest that enhanced network coding can be a promising approach for secure and high-performance networks.

I. Introduction

In the early days of wireless networking, the challenge was primarily to ensure secure and uninterrupted data transmission. Network coding has recently emerged as a new technique for optimizing the security and performance of wireless networks. This advanced technology facilitates efficient data exchange by encoding packets of data before transmission. By applying this coding technique, data is encrypted and protected, ensuring secure communication between devices. Additionally, improved performance is observed in terms of data rate and link reliability. Network coding utilizes an encoder and decoder that can partly evaluate the arrangement of a packet and obtains extra encoding of existing information [1]. How this works is that a group of packets consisting of distinct data bits are arranged and encoded in order to maximize the robustness of transmission. By using channel coding, redundancy in the transmitted data is reduced, which helps the network achieve higher efficiency levels at the physical layer in terms of speed, functionality and security. Also, the use of codebook pattern matching and linear network coding greatly increases security of the data transmitted over the wireless network. Additionally, Network coding is capable of reducing the number of collisions in transmission and reception. A collision occurs when two nodes try to access one channel at the same time. With network coding enabled, the amount of collision experienced on the network will significantly reduce, thus reducing interference and improving the total throughput [2]. Finally, network coding can help offset the signal-to-noise ratio issues found in wireless networks. Because of the transmission distance in a wireless network, the signal will experience more noise interference than it would in a wired network. This means that the performance of the network will be compromised if not addressed. With the use of network coding, more of the original signal will be able to reach the destination node despite the noise interference [3]. As a result, the wireless network will operate better overall in terms of signal strength, data rate, and transmission dependability. For wireless networks, network coding offers dependable, secure, and improved performance optimization. By encrypting data packets, it guarantees secure connection between devices and enhances the overall performance of the wireless network. To fully utilize the potential of wireless networks, it is crucial that networks have these features. The transmission of data through wireless networks has been completely transformed by network coding. It is one of the most recent advancements in the communication industry. Significant advancements in wireless network security and performance are made possible by this potent technology. By combining data packets from various sources into a single signal, network coding adds redundancy to data packets, making it nearly impossible for attackers to intercept or manipulate data. This serves as a security precaution that strengthens data encryption [4]. The following figure 1 depicts the building diagram
