Study on Temperature Characteristics of Three-phase Coaxial HTS Cable Under Harmonic Current

The high penetration of power electronic technology and its equipment in the power grid leads to increasingly harmonic severe pollution in the power system, and the additional loss and temperature rise of high temperature superconductivity (HTS) cable caused by harmonics cannot be ignored. Using finite element analysis software, the electromagnetic and thermal coupling simulation model of a three-phase coaxial HTS cable is established under the action of harmonics. When there are 3rd and 9th harmonic currents, the eddy current loss of the center copper tube and shield layer increases sharply, and the cable B phase temperature is the highest.
