Optimal Scheduling of Port Clusters Integrated Energy System Considering Shared Energy Storage and Demand Response

With the aim of promoting green port construction and enhancing energy efficiency within port areas, this paper presents an optimized operation strategy for port clusters Integrated energy system based on the differences in port load behaviors and their flexibility characteristics. Firstly, by integrating the concept of "sharing economy" with energy storage, a centralized investment approach is adopted to share stored electrical energy among various ports. Simultaneously, a demand response model is constructed considering the flexible load characteristics of different ports, facilitating flexible time shifting of electricity and improving the consumption capability of local renewable energy. Furthermore, taking advantage of the multi-energy coupling in port areas, an optimization model for coordinating the power output of energy devices within the port area and external grid electricity purchase is established, considering both economic and environmental objectives. Using a specific port area in China as a case study, the results validate that the proposed strategy can enhance energy efficiency, reduce operational costs and peak power supply pressure from the grid for port clusters, while also taking into account the environmental sustainability of the system operation.
