Energy Management of a DC Microgrid Composed of PV Systems with Battery Energy Systems

The purpose of this article is to describe energy management and control in a battery-based DC microgrid with a PV array. The inquiry involves a thorough evaluation of the PV and battery DC-DC converters' design and operation complexity. This study also assesses the variability of radiation within the solar array on a typical sunny day. The battery, in particular, must properly adapt to varying dynamic loads while keeping the DC bus voltage stable during charge and discharge cycles. The software uses its built-in solar PV and battery models while modelling microgrids in MATLAB. Overall, the microgrid's techniques for regulating and controlling energy output and consumption are effective and dependable.
