Protection of Whistle-Blower of White-Collar Crime: A Technological Perspective

The role of whistle-blowers in combating white-collar crime is acknowledged by the United Nations. It is crucial to safeguard these individuals in order to foster transparency, accountability, protect public interest, and promote ethical conduct within organizations and society. However, there is a dearth of research on utilizing IoT and AI technologies both for raising concerns and ensuring the protection of whistle-blowers. This study aims to address this gap by proposing an AI-based reporting system that enables whistle-blowers to report red flags while maintaining confidentiality, ultimately informing relevant authorities. The research argues that the combination of AI and IoT has immense potential in revolutionizing how whistle-blowers operate by facilitating secure information sharing.
