Multi-stage Fuzzy Controller for a Multi-motor System

Due to the increasing complexity of the requirements for automated control systems in various industries, an extremely important problem arises in connection with the creation of such systems. To date, it is impossible to provide high quality control of a complex object without a control system based on a fairly accurate mathematical model. Such a model should take into account most of the available approaches to the formalisation of regulatory objects, namely: improving the accuracy and quality of the mathematical description, the possibility of working with qualitative characteristics based on the formed system of restrictions and assumptions. Some directions of expansion of intellectual capabilities are both structural solutions (implementation of nesting) and parametric (modelling of spatial form membership functions). A multi-stage fuzzy control system for a multi-motor object consisting of DC motors is considered in the paper. The output characteristics of the drive, the input and the output systems are given. The working mechanism and model of the fuzzy controller are described. Knowledge bases and a functional diagram of a fuzzy controller are presented. A comparison of the considered system with the classical controller is made.
