Renewable Energy Monitoring System Based on IoT: A Review

The price of renewable energy equipment decreases worldwide as technology advances, promoting the widespread deployment of solar photovoltaic systems. When implementing cutting-edge technology, the Internet of Things (IoT) is in the driver's seat, making everything go more quickly and efficiently. As monitoring is crucial for performance evaluation and controlling panels to function in a very excellent condition, this review's overarching goal is to encourage the monitoring of all solar photovoltaic solar arrays to keep everyone informed of their present status. Using IoT-based technology to keep an eye on a solar photovoltaic plant would significantly improve its performance, monitoring, and upkeep. This will aid in power generation by automatically positioning the equipment to induce maximum sunlight, allowing for easier preventative maintenance, historical analysis of the plant, and real-time observation. Suppose the sun's rays begin to weaken. In that case, solar panels will rotate to face in a different direction, maximizing the amount of sunlight they absorb and maximizing the efficiency with which they convert solar energy into usable form.
