Development of an Electronic Control System a New Generation of Airfield Irrigation Machine Equipment

This article provides a comprehensive over view of the aerodrome surface maintenance machine, namely the aerodrome irrigation machine (AIM) and its complex control systems. The developed components of the AIM designed for servicing airport runways are also described. Special attention is paid to complex equipment, modern automation and integration of electronic control. The article discusses in detail the features of the hydraulic system, control parameters, feedback from sensors and the operator’s control panel. Control systems for the central brush, power take-off and lighting are being developed, with an emphasis on safety features such as automatic shutdown in emergency situations. In general, it highlights the importance of highlighting the advanced technologies and multi-faceted functions inherent in AIM, which are crucial for efficient maintenance of the airport infrastructure.
