Link Level Simulation Model for Vehicles with Location-Aware Beamforming in 5G mm Wave Ultra-Dense Networks

Beamforming technology, based on the positioning of vehicles in 5G and Beyond 5G (B5G), termed Location-Aware Beamforming (LAB), is a response to the proceeding trend of simultaneous communication sessions spatial density increase in Millimeter Wave (mmWave) Ultra-Dense Networks (UDN). LAB, as part of Location-Aware Communication (LAC), has already gained significant attention in scientific research and development community. However, as far as authors know, there is still no available simulation model for assessment and substantiation of scenarios for LAB in 5G mmWave UDN. The contribution of current research is an open-source link level simulation model for vehicles with LAB in 5G mmWave UDN, developed in Matlab environment from primitive functions, available for download and verification.
