Modular Software Environment for Distributed SDR Systems

The article presents a new modular software environment for distributed software-defined radio (SDR) systems or data processing systems. The software environment is designed to release real-time signal processing systems with the functionality of distributing tasks across available computing resources. Elementary tasks of signal or data processing are represented as modules, which are combined into processing Tract through inter-module connections. Processing scenarios that combine elementary tasks are executed on computing resources in the form of processing Tracts and workflows (Workers). Workers communicate with each other through the functionality of network interfaces and universal messaging. Setting up inter-module connections, network data transmission, as well as interaction between universal messages and module parameters allow to perform a flexible system configuration without the involvement of programmers. The environment as a whole is controlled by the System Core, which is configured via the console or web interface. At the same time, the architecture of the software environment allows you to fully perform tasks without the System Core.
