Research on Integration Scheme of Rooftop Photovoltaic System Access to the Bus in Substation

Rooftop Photovoltaic (PV) is an alternative to distributed electricity, and it will help develop a feasible technological route to a sustainable energy economy. The electricity consumed during the running of the transformer station occupies a large part of the total power loss. In this research, PV techniques are used to satisfy the power requirements of a transformer station or supply power to a local power grid. Using PSCAD/EMTDC as the basis, the EM Transient Simulation Model is built with grid connection PV system, 3 phase 2 coil transformer and fixed distribution load. The photovoltaic field is linked to a dc/dc inverter. The output power of the PV network depends on the inputs known as radiation and temperature. The DC link current is regulated by a step-up converter based on a Maximal Power Point Tracker (MPPT). The Voltage Source Converter (VSC) tries to maintain a reference by controlling a direct current voltage. The PV system generates electrical energy through the low-voltage bus in the transformer station and supplies the power to the local load. The whole system's electricity is balanced in the transformer bus. A kind of rooftop PV system has been analysed, and the effect on electricity consumption is analyzed.
