Design, Construction and Thermodynamic Analysis of an Prototype Parabolic Solar Kitchen Under Conditions of Hot and Humid Climate

This paper describes the design, construction, and thermodynamic analysis of a parabolic solar cooker prototype for use in hot and humid climate conditions. The prototype was built using low-cost materials that were easy to find in the region where the study was carried out. The performance of the solar cooker was analyzed as a function of the increase in water temperature using two thermodynamic systems (open and closed). The results indicate that the parabolic solar cooker can be an efficient and sustainable alternative for heating water in hot and humid climate conditions since it produces less CO2 emissions and is cheaper in terms of operating cost than a conventional stove.
