Optimizing Edge AI Solutions through Hardware and Software Co-Design

This paper introduces Edge AI solutions powered by DEEPX’s Neural Processing Units (NPUs): DX-L1, L2, and M1. Our work focuses on two aspects: (1) the specialized NPU technology to meet diverse applications and performance requirements; and (2) the DEEPX software development kit (DXNN), designed to streamline the optimization and deployment of AI models on NPUs. These solutions are crafted for a wide spectrum of computer vision applications, highlighting DEEPX’s system’s versatility and capability. Overall, this paper presents practical and integrated solutions that address the growing demands of Edge AI applications through hardware and software co-design.
