A Theoretical Study of Metacellular Automata Considering the Evacuation Behavior of Personnel Stairs

To consider the different evacuation behaviors of personnel stairs in the step area, convergence area, and turning area and to achieve the purpose of step area velocity in steps/S, a hybrid metacellular automata model is proposed, which is a mixture of triangular and quadrilateral meshes. The mathematical formulation of the hybrid metacellmodel, the neighbor model, and other concepts are derived, and the simulation of the actual scenario is successfully carried out, and the results show that the evacuation behavior of people in the staircase in the actual scenario is more closely matched.
