Review of Research on optimal scheduling method of virtual power plant

With the introduction of the dual carbon target, the utilization of renewable energy and the intensity of carbon emission reduction have been increased. The proportion of renewable energy in the power system has also brought challenges to energy management and scheduling. Virtual power plant (VPP) is a flexible and efficient energy management method, which is helpful to realize the efficient utilization and optimal scheduling of renewable energy. This paper summarizes the research status of VPP architecture, VPP optimization algorithm and VPP optimization scheduling key technology. Firstly, the typical architecture of technical VPP is summarized. Secondly, the common VPP optimal scheduling model is introduced, the necessity of optimization algorithm is studied, and several optimization algorithms are reviewed. Then, the key technologies of VPP optimal scheduling are introduced. Finally, the current shortcomings of VPP optimal scheduling are summarized and the future development direction is prospected.
