Phased Modeling Of An Autonomous Solar Power Plant And Its Operation In The Power System

This research presents the stages of modeling an autonomous solar power plant to study its operating modes. The evaluation is performed using a simple analytical method for extracting the parameters included in the equation for the behavior of the photovoltaic module. A mathematical representation of a solar cell (PV) is showcased utilizing the Matlab-Simulink platform to determine the variables of a nonlinear equation that correlates the current (I) with the voltage (V) equation. Employing a straightforward and effective approach to assess series resistance, ideality ratio, maximum power point tracking (MPPT) control, saturation current, and shunt conductance in illuminated solar cells. Furthermore, this document explores the creation of a DC-DC buck converter and the incorporation of a DC-DC buck converter with a PV module. DC/AC buck converter modeled using Matlab. The input and output information of the converter are derived from simulation under open-loop conditions with a consistent DC input voltage. In addition, outputs are taken from the converter, feeding the output of the photovoltaic module as an input to it.
