Analysis on Characteristic Impedance and E-Field Distribution of Wired Structural Bounded Wave Simulator

This article analyzes the characteristic impedance and peak E-field distribution in time domain of the cross section in wired structural bounded wave simulator (BWS) based on method of moments (MoM). First, the static field assumption has been taken into account in electromagnetic modeling. Second, the charge distribution is solved based on MoM. Third, the characteristic impedance and the peak E-field distribution are derived from previous analysis. Measurements of the developed BWS indicates that analysis of characteristic impedance and peak E-field in this article agrees with the test results to some extent. Related research can provide some guidance in the design of BWS and the radiated susceptibility test.
