Fano Resonance Enhanced Refractive Index Sensing Using Arc-Based Plasmonics Resonator

In this letter, an arc-based resonator integrated with a metal–insulator–metal (MIM) plasmonic waveguide is investigated, which aims at exploring its capacity for refractive index sensing. By precisely manipulating the height of the slit or arc length, the device can effectively induce Fano resonance and is characterized by its unique and asymmetrical resonance profile.
