Mitigating Road Accidents in Hilly Regions: An Artificial Intelligence Approach

The intent of this research is to develop a method for predicting traffic accidents in hilly areas by using a combination of Neural Networks and Genetic Algorithms. The model is built by looking at past data on road accidents and considering factors such as the weather, and other things that can affect the likelihood of an accident. By using this information, the Neural Network is trained to recognize patterns and then the Genetic Algorithm fine-tunes the Neural Network to improve the accuracy of the predictions. When compared to traditional methods, this new model is better at predicting accidents in hilly areas. This research could help local authorities implement targeted safety measures and prevent accidents from happening.
