Development of an Autonomous UAV for Seed and Fertilizer Distribution in Precision Agriculture

Bangladesh is mostly an agricultural nation. Agriculture is a time-consuming and labor-intensive operation. Farmers must labor long and hard hours to produce a harvest. Farmers must overcome various obstacles to reap a productive harvest. The longest aspect of farming is seed planting and pest management. An attempt to minimize the time required for these two extremely critical aspects of farming will result in greater interest in farming from the country's people. With that purpose in mind, this proposal suggests using an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) to distribute paddy seeds or other seeds over wet fields and a specific nozzle to spray fertilizer, pesticide, and water on the fields. The UAV will make possible the autonomous operation. The efficiency of ArUco-based autonomous UAVs is improving through development, and by allowing UAVs to complete missions without continual human interaction, autonomous operations may increase their efficacy by enhancing their stealth and expanding their range. This system has potential applicability in the field of precision agriculture, such as seed distribution, spraying fertilizer, pesticide, and water on land, and autonomous navigation to complete assigned tasks, which will ease the work of the crop grower.
