Performance Analysis of Radio over Fiber Technology for 5G Communication using Modified Walsh Code

The Radio over Fibre (RoF) technology is a viable approach for future microcell and picocell applications to construct wireless data networks. It is a hybrid version of microwave and optical networks, with optical fiber serving as the backbone technology due to its numerous benefits. However, the nonlinear effects of the channel can substantially degrade the performance of RoF devices. The paper proposes a novel adaptive radio-over-fiber system for next-generation communication to provide better Quality factors and bit error rate. A RoF link for a two-channel structure is also initiated availing the Mach-Zehnder Modulator. The proposed link is assessed for various transmission distances of 10, 20, 30, and 40 km without using an amplifier. The Q-Factor is of 10 and BER is of 10
