Analytical Analysis of Bit Error Rate Performance of NOMA-OFDM for 5G Systems

An analytical approach of the bit error rate (BER) performance of Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access with Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (NOMA-OFDM) for 5G communication systems and beyond (B5G) is presented in this paper. We have derived an expression of bit error rate by using moment generating function (M.G.F.) based approach. The definite integral of an exponential function is expressed in terms of Meijer-G function as well as by incorporating Taylor’s series expansion. This concatenation of NOMA-OFDM technique is simulated for M-ary PSK constellation with varying cyclic prefix and compared. Simulations of both the theoretical and measured expressions of bit error rate for NOMA-OFDM is represented in the plots and verified.
