Development of Face Recognition-Based Smart Door Lock System with Remote Servo Control Authentication

Security in the home is more crucial than ever for safeguarding personal belongings and avoiding identity theft. Key loss or theft occurrences have been shown to be vulnerable to traditional access control measures like keys, security cards, passwords, or patterns, which can result in major security breaches. To solve this problem for more effective and safe door access control systems, a novel method based on face recognition employing machine learning and IoT technologies have been presented. A camera records photographs of people trying to enter the building, and the Raspberry Pi, a small programmable computer board, acts as the main controller for the face recognition, youth system, and locking system. IoT technology enables users to manage door access and keep an eye on activity from a distance. This novel approach boosts protection, lowers the danger of theft, and provides a practical, adaptable, and scalable solution for a variety of home security applications.
