Reconnaissance Robot for Military Operation and Multipurpose Surveillance

The escalating global threat of militancy poses a significant challenge to global security. In response, this paper proposes a wireless-controlled smart surveillance bot for military reconnaissance and multipurpose surveillance of an area. The 6-Wheel Drive (6WD) bot is designed to operate autonomously or manually, utilizing wireless technology for communication. The autonomous mode incorporates an Ultrasonic Sensor for obstacle detection and avoidance, along with a supervision algorithm for precise movement. The bot's multi-sensory capabilities enable it to detect enemy positions via camera and provide live streaming to authorized personnel during military raids. Additionally, it can identify movement, confirm human presence in hazardous areas, and observe real-time streaming of the surrounding environment. The system employs an Arduino for sensor and status data transmission to the Raspberry Pi via serial communication. The Raspberry Pi 4 handles video streaming and wireless command reception, enabling personnel to control the bot via a web page interface. The integration of a GPS module allows for location tracking during rescue operations. With the ability to switch seamlessly between autonomous and manual modes, authorized personnel can effectively adapt to circumstances and make informed decisions based on live streaming observations.
