Optimal Network Selection using Optimization Algorithm

The network requirement is increasing day by day because, in today’s world, every person has a mobile phone. To compensate for the demand for the best Quality of service (QoS), next-generation networks consist of mixed heterogeneous networks because one network cannot fulfill the demand of every user. So, to switch from one network to another, there is a need for the network selection algorithm. It is important for organizations to provide continuous services such as calls, SMS, Internet, multimedia, video calling, etc. to customers irrespective of their location. In this paper, JAYA algorithm is presented for the selection of optimal networks for four different applications. After that, the comparison of JAYA algorithm is done with GRA algorithm. Finally, the performance of both algorithms is analyzed in terms of two parameters, i.e. accuracy and Relative standard deviation (RSD).
