DASUIP: Driver Alerting System for Smart Safetyusing Image Processing

In recent years, drowsy driving has been blamed for the majority of incidents (50% of traffic accidents). One minute of carelessness can result in a problem. The technology is designed to identify driver fatigue when operating a car or any other vehicle in order to prevent traffic accidents. Therefore, care must be taken to prevent accidents on the road caused by drowsy drivers. Here, MATLAB can be usedto identify the driver's tiredness. The camera first takes a picture of the driver before detecting the face. The HOG algorithm is used to identify whether the eye is closed or not, and if it is, the system creates an alarm sound to warn the driver. If he or she is drowsy, we can wake them up by setting off the alarm. We achieved 70% output accuracy with this. In this way, we can lower the number of fatal accidents brought on by drowsy driving and prevent traffic accidents.
