Through manually investigating food-related visual cues in thousands of social media culinary photos, the results can be seen as consistent with psychological experiments. This indicates that food image analysis is a promising and efficient method for acquiring those necessary data to inform the subsequent personalization of visual cues. The emphasis on food-related visual cues expands the conventional understanding of healthy eating promotion, shifting the focus from solely considering the food itself to encompassing the entirety of the eating experience.
