Work-in-Progress: Ergodic Sum Rate Analysis of Two-Way Relay-Empowered Vehicular Communications Under Double Nakagami-m Fading

In this paper, we investigate the ergodic sum rate (ESR) performance of a two-way relay-assisted vehicular communication system. The overall information is exchanged between a source vehicle and one of the multiple user vehicles (chosen using the best user vehicle selection policy) via an amplify-and-forward relay vehicle in two-time phases. fading for vehicle-to-vehicle channels, we first derive the tight and compact statistical distributions of channel gains pertaining to the links between source and relay vehicles and between relay vehicle and selected user vehicle to offer an efficient computation, which is further verified by the standard distributions. Utilizing these, we then deduce the closed-form upper bound expression on the ESR. Finally, we validate our proposed analytical framework via numerical and simulation studies and examine the behavior of ESR against various system and channel parameters.
