Employing a Patient-specific Volume Conductor Model as Input for a Biophysical Network Model for Deep Brain Stimulation

Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) is an established treatment not only for motor symptoms of various brain disorders like Parkinson’s disease and dystonia but also for non-motor symptoms like obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) or depression. Especially for non-motor symptoms, it is essential to have an objective disease-specific marker like the local field potentials (LFPs) to adapt the stimulation parameters for an optimal result.
