Intra-Data Center Optical Identification

Data center security is crucial, especially in colocation solutions with multiple customers. In this context, we propose to use optical identification based on Rayleigh backscattering pattern for authentication, recognition, and monitoring in data center networks. Results indicate highly reliable identification in typical operational conditions.
